Boeun Jujube Festival

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Boeun Jujube Festival is one of Korea’s premier agricultural and specialty product festivals, offering visitors the chance to experience Boeun’s signature premium jujubes—the region’s most renowned specialty—alongside other agricultural and specialty products grown in the area’s pristine natural environment, all in one place. In recognition of its outstanding operational achievements, the 2025 Boeun Jujube Festival was selected as the “Best Festival” designated by North Chungcheong Province for 2026. It has also been recognized for its national competitiveness, having been named the “Best Festival for Promoting Sales of Agricultural and Specialty Products” in North Chungcheong Province for the third consecutive time, following its selection in 2017. Furthermore, by widely promoting the history and superior quality of Boeun jujubes—which were once presented as tribute to the king—the festival has established itself as a signature event representing Boeun. During the festival, in addition to sales booths for jujubes and other agricultural specialties, an online marketplace and a call center for ordering fresh jujubes are operated, making it convenient for people nationwide to purchase Boeun’s agricultural specialties from anywhere. Furthermore, the festival features a variety of cultural and artistic performances and hands-on programs—including the opening and closing ceremonies—to provide visitors with a wealth of sights and activities. It is designed so that everyone, from families to people of all ages, can fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere of Boeun. Furthermore, through diverse programs that integrate agriculture, culture, and tourism, the festival aims to widely promote the excellence of local agricultural and specialty products, attract tourists, and revitalize the local economy. It is planned to serve as a flagship festival that enhances the brand value of Boeun’s fall tourism.
