About
The traditional Korean music performance “Jinyeon” is a show that allows audiences to experience the diversity of Korea’s traditional arts all on one stage. It is unique in that audiences can enjoy the performances in a cozy, hanok-style venue and engage in conversation with the artists. You’ll enjoy a diverse range of musical genres—from Korean traditional music, K-pop, and classical music to world folk songs—all performed on traditional instruments. It’s an all-in-one traditional arts performance that combines Korean culture with live performances, singing, and hands-on instrument experiences.
Program
- Part 1: Gilje—Purified water is offered to the audience members, and sincere prayers are offered for their peace and happiness. - Part 2: Banquet: Enjoy traditional performances once presented to distinguished guests at the royal court, as well as court music (jeongak) and sanjo pieces that showcase the technical mastery of the instruments. - Part 3: Harmony: A time when performers and the audience become one through art, as traditional Korean instruments are used to perform music from various countries.
