Launched in 2009, it has grown into a venue that connects Gangneung’s nature, lifestyle, and local businesses, embodying the city’s unique identity. Here, citizens, merchants, coffee industry professionals, and visitors come together to enjoy coffee and share stories about Gangneung through the humanities, the arts, and local content. A single cup of coffee sipped while gazing out at the sea has expanded into a culture shared by the entire city, and the festival is a living asset of local culture that conveys the region’s history, the tastes of its people, and the pride of the community.
