The 30th Ganggyeong Salted Seafood Festival 2026 is a premier local festival celebrating Ganggyeong’s history and culture, as well as local specialties such as salted seafood. The event will take place over four days, from October 15 to October 18, 2026, in the Geumgang River floodplain area in Ganggyeong-eup, Nonsan City. The theme of this year’s festival is “Ganggyeong Salted Seafood and Sangwol Sweet Potatoes: Finally Reaching the Top!” and the festival will showcase a variety of culinary, cultural, and hands-on experiences centered on Ganggyeong salted seafood and Sangwol sweet potatoes. The main programs include the Global Ganggyeong Salted Seafood Kimchi Festival, the Ganggyeong Port Market, programs related to salted seafood and Sangwol sweet potatoes, performance and arts programs, hands-on activities, and programs promoting and selling local specialties. Based on Ganggyeong’s historical resources and local specialties, the festival promotes the region’s flavors and culture while offering tourists a variety of hands-on experiences and attractions.
