The 22nd Sanbuk Pumshil Festival has established itself as Yeoju’s premier festival over the past 22 years. The 22nd Sanbuk Pumshil Festival will be held under the subtheme “Sanbuk AI Kimchi-Making Culture Festival.” Kimjang is a culinary tradition that represents South Korea and a cherished custom through which families and neighbors share warmth and affection. Designated as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2013, the kimjang culture embodies the spirit of community—making and sharing together. The Sanbuk AI Kimchi-Making Culture Festival is a new type of kimchi-making festival that carries on this traditional culture while incorporating technology, making it easy and enjoyable for anyone to participate. By combining fresh, locally grown produce with cutting-edge technology, the festival offers a unique experience where visitors can not only enjoy the process of making kimchi but also appreciate the value of local agriculture and explore the possibilities of the future of farming.
