Animal Happiness Festival

The 2026 Seoul Animal Happiness Festa is a participatory festival held to commemorate Seoul Animal Protection Day and share with citizens a culture where humans and animals coexist. Held from October 17 to 18 at the plaza in front of the Mulbit Stage in Yeouido Hangang Park, the festival features a variety of programs that can be enjoyed not only by pet owners but also by non-pet owners and families. These include the “Animal Happiness Run,” where dogs and their owners walk together along the Han River, “Seol Chae-hyun’s Pet Talk Live,” where participants share everyday concerns about their pets; the “Second Chance in Dog Life Show-and-Tell,” featuring special stories of adopted dogs and their owners; and the “Pimky Red Carpet Adoption Fair,” which introduces animals waiting for new families. In addition, a variety of on-site programs are planned, including the “Animal Protection PLAY Zone,” where visitors can experience various animal welfare issues—such as those involving wildlife, farm animals, laboratory animals, service animals, and exhibition animals—through games and missions, as well as behavioral and health consultations, animal registration, adoption campaigns for abandoned animals, a pet culture true-or-false quiz, and photo zones. This citizen-participatory animal culture festival goes a step beyond simply loving animals, offering an easy and enjoyable way to experience how people and animals can live happily together.
