Cheonan Book Festival

The Book Festival is Cheonan City’s flagship literary event, blending reading, hands-on activities, and fun, and is organized in collaboration with reading-related organizations such as libraries, clubs, bookstores, and publishers. It is organized as a reading culture event that all citizens can enjoy together, featuring author meet-and-greets, performances, hands-on booths, side events, and an outdoor library. This year’s event will take place at the Sunken Plaza in Cheonan Samgeori Park and will feature an opening ceremony, an award ceremony for avid readers, a family musical performance, and an ensemble performance. At the outdoor library, visitors can relax and read books under the autumn sun. The event will also feature meet-and-greets with author Han So-gon, whose book *Goochujang Errand* was selected as Cheonan City’s Book of the Year for 2026, and author Lee Seo-su, author of *Dance Anyway*. In addition, visitors can participate in a variety of reading-related activities at 16 hands-on booths and 13 booths run by bookstores and publishers. Admission is free.
