About
The Wangsaeng-ro Light Festival is a two-day nighttime cultural and commercial revitalization festival held from October 3 to 4 in the area around Wangsaeng-ro Cultural Park in Nam-gu, Ulsan. Its primary objectives are to create distinctive nighttime scenery in areas of the city center with high foot traffic, thereby providing citizens with opportunities to enjoy culture, and to stimulate the local economy by attracting visitors to nearby commercial districts. The event features high-quality light displays—including media facades, street tree light shows, laser fireflies, and giant mirror balls—to create a stunning nighttime atmosphere. It also maximizes visitor turnout through a continuous lineup of diverse performances, such as concerts by guest artists including Min Kyung-hoon and So Hyang, as well as DJ sets, busking, and street theater. In addition, the project is designed to extend visitors’ time on-site and naturally encourage spending in nearby shopping districts by concurrently operating complementary events that encourage visitors to linger, such as food zones, beer parks, flea markets, and hands-on experience programs.
