About
The 13th 21st Century Humanistic Values Forum is a three-day humanities and culture event held at the Andong International Convention Center and throughout Andong City under the theme “A World in Flux, Things That Remain Unchanged.” The event kicks off with a keynote speech at the opening ceremony and the Humanistic Values Awards ceremony, and concludes with the proclamation of the Andong Declaration at the closing ceremony. The event is designed to allow visitors to directly see, walk through, and interact with the humanities—and thus experience their value firsthand—through thematic, public, and participatory sessions featuring leading scholars from Korea and abroad, as well as exhibitions, hands-on programs, tours, and networking events. Having spent the past decade expanding Korea’s traditional culture into universal values for today, this year’s event will address contemporary issues such as war and peace, memory and documentation, and AI and technology. It will be held both online and offline, with approximately 5,000 participants expected to take part.
