About
The Ulan Cultural Foundation’s second textile exhibition, *Texture of Rest*, offers modern people—who are losing their sense of self amid a flood of information and relationships—a moment to “weave” back together their fragmented selves through the unique physical properties of textiles: “connection” and “patience.” In this exhibition, textiles transcend their role as mere objects of appreciation; they cross the threshold of our inner selves, honestly penetrate the depths of suffering, and offer a “living journey of healing” that leads to true peace. This suggests that true peace can only be found when we face our pain head-on, rather than turning away from it. This exhibition invites visitors to temporarily silence external noise, engage in an intense dialogue with their inner selves, and experience the texture of purified peace that awaits them.
