About
The Seoul Metropolitan Government will host the 4th “2026 Seoul Hanok Week” for ten days, from Friday, October 2, to Sunday, October 11, in the Bukchon and Seochon neighborhoods. “Seoul Hanok Week” is a multifaceted cultural event featuring exhibitions, lectures, guided tours, hands-on activities, performances, and other events that allow visitors to experience Seoul’s hanoks in diverse ways, in collaboration with hanok-related institutions, organizations, and residents. The event takes place in the Bukchon and Seochon areas as well as at public hanoks throughout Seoul, and details can be found on the Seoul Hanok Portal and social media. This year, a new program—the K-Living exhibition, created in collaboration with various brands—will showcase daily life in Seoul’s hanok. The festival will also expand its scope by partnering with relevant organizations to operate diverse programs throughout the hanok villages, including a collaboration with “Bukchon Day,” the area’s flagship cultural festival. Capturing the new role of hanok as spaces for everyday life—beyond mere tourism—the “2026 Seoul Hanok Week,” themed “Seoul Hanok Daily Life,” will feature a variety of programs—including exhibitions, performances, and guided tours—that allow visitors to experience the spaces and charm of hanok.
