About
In Seongnam-dong—where young people once flocked after the area was designated an industrial district, fostering a culture of literature and romance centered around coffee shops—a special festival themed around coffee is being held. The Seongnam-dong Coffee Festival is a community-driven cultural festival for all coffee lovers. Held every fall, the festival is planned and operated jointly by local merchants and coffee industry professionals in Seongnam-dong, offering a rich lineup of programs including hand-drip demonstrations, latte art workshops, brewing competitions, and tastings featuring various coffee brands. In addition to a coffee performance competition featuring talented baristas from across the country, the festival features a variety of attractions—including hands-on booths, live performances, and a food market—that the whole family can enjoy together. As a result, it has established itself as an open festival where people of all ages can participate.
