Permanent Traditional Culture Event at Uijeongbu City

The Uijeongbu-ji Permanent Traditional Culture Event is organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to promote Korea’s traditional culture to citizens and tourists visiting the Uijeongbu-ji Historic Site Plaza, thereby enhancing Seoul’s image as a historic city, and to provide opportunities to experience traditional martial arts—which are rarely encountered in everyday life. The event consists of a reenactment of the “military review” performed by soldiers of the Three Military Commands stationed along Yukjo Street—including Uijeongbu—as well as hands-on experiences with the Seunggyeongdo folk game and traditional martial arts.
