2026 Korea Maritime Mobility & Safety Expo

The side events of the 2026 Korea Marine Mobility & Safety Expo are hands-on programs designed to allow participants to experience the importance of marine safety in an easy and fun way. Held in the area around the Busan Port North Harbor Waterfront Park, the event features a variety of marine safety experiences and interactive activities, providing citizens and tourists visiting the expo with an opportunity to deepen their interest in and understanding of marine safety. The program consists of activities that anyone can easily participate in, such as a personalized marine photo zone utilizing AI technology, the “Life Jacket OOTD Runway” where visitors can customize and try on life jackets, CPR training, and the chance to try on Coast Guard uniforms. In addition, visitors can try their hand at navigating a vessel through a ship-handling simulation and virtually experience various maritime safety scenarios—such as falls overboard and passenger ship emergencies—at the maritime VR experience center. Programs are also available to teach the proper use of actual lifesaving equipment, such as life jackets and life rafts, and to help visitors naturally learn safety rules through marine safety quizzes. A stamp tour linking the various attractions at the BPEX exhibition hall and the North Port Waterfront Park will also be held. This program allows visitors to explore future ships, autonomous navigation technology, eco-friendly marine technology, and marine safety and AI technology—all while participating directly in hands-on activities—to experience the Expo’s key content all at once. It is a special venue where visitors can encounter future marine technology and experience marine safety firsthand.
