Gwangju Busking World Cup

The Gwangju Busking World Cup is an international street music festival held in the Chungjang-ro area of Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City. This competition-style festival features domestic and international street performers presenting a variety of musical performances, including vocals, bands, acoustic sets, and stage performances across various genres. Participating teams advance through preliminary and semifinal rounds to reach the finals, where the overall winner is determined; award recipients are selected by a panel of professional judges. Held across various venues in downtown Gwangju, this event is an international cultural festival that aims to revitalize culture and the arts by utilizing urban spaces, promote street performance culture, and contribute to global cultural exchange and tourism.
