About

The 2026 Daejeon Bread Festival is Korea’s premier regional bread festival promoting mutual prosperity, where Daejeon’s outstanding local bakeries and neighborhood businesses all come together to celebrate. From nationally renowned brands like Seongsimdang to talented neighborhood bakeries hidden in every corner of the city, a total of 120 local small business owners will participate as the festival’s proud stars. At the festival, visitors will not only enjoy the culinary delight of sampling a variety of freshly baked, aromatic breads but also witness a valuable platform for local bakeries to showcase their unique flavors and philosophies to a wider audience. Going beyond a mere consumer event, it leads to increased sales for small business owners and revitalizes the downtown commercial district, infusing the local economy as a whole with warm vitality and energy. Using bread as a medium, it has established itself as Daejeon’s unique, fun-filled festival of mutual growth, where citizens, small business owners, and tourists all come together happily.
