About
Hwaseong Haenggung, imbued with King Jeongjo’s grand vision and profound filial piety, boasts the most impressive scale and grandeur among the countless royal palaces across the country and is regarded as a palace whose beauty rivals that of Gyeongbokgung Palace. “Moonlight Hwadam (花談),” Suwon’s signature nighttime tourism program—the 2026 Hwaseong Haenggung Nighttime Opening—is themed “A Tale of Flowers Under the Moonlight.” Through various floral installations and fantastical lighting displays, it offers a nighttime atmosphere that is both dazzling and serene. As you stroll along the flower-lined path quietly blooming beneath the soft glow of the lights, you’ll feel as though you’ve traveled back in time to experience the atmosphere of the past, nature, and the spirit of the Joseon Dynasty.
