Gyeongbokgung Palace Starlight Night Tour

The Gyeongbokgung Palace Starlight Night Walk is a nighttime tour program that allows visitors to explore the northern section of Gyeongbokgung Palace while experiencing royal cuisine and traditional culture. Accompanied by expert commentary, participants move through various parts of the palace to learn about the daily life of the royal family during the Joseon Dynasty and the historical stories associated with Gyeongbokgung Palace. At Oesojubang—the palace kitchen—visitors can enjoy a special 12-course meal, “Dosut,” which is a modern reinterpretation of the royal banquet from the Joseon Dynasty. This year, a special Changgeuk (Korean traditional opera) depicting the story of King Gojong will be performed at Jipokjae, the king’s study, offering a unique experience where the history of the space blends with the performance. Afterward, visitors can gaze at the starlight reflected in Hyangwonji Pond and enjoy a different atmosphere from that of the daytime amidst the tranquil scenery of Gyeongbokgung Palace.
