The 8th Yeochun International Smartphone Film Festival

The Yecheon International Smartphone Film Festival, now in its 8th year, is a film festival that accepts submissions of films and videos shot on smartphones. After a judging process, award-winning entries are selected, and the festival culminates in an awards ceremony held on-site on Saturday, October 9—a film festival that the local community can enjoy together. Launched in 2019 in Yeocheon, North Gyeongsang Province—a city blessed with breathtaking natural scenery—the Yeocheon International Smartphone Film Festival (hereinafter YISFF) has become a symbol of Yeocheon and is recognized as a leading smartphone film festival not only in North Gyeongsang Province but throughout the country. By encouraging “anyone” to use the smartphones they already own to create films that reflect the spirit of the times, the festival has brought a fresh and innovative wave of creativity to the industry.
