Nakdong River Gupo Ferry Festival

The “13th Nakdong River Gupo Ferry Festival” is the region’s premier cultural and tourism festival, held in the beautiful Hwamyeong Ecological Park and celebrating the history and culture of Gupo—a historic ferry crossing on the Nakdong River and a former logistics hub. Under the slogan “Connect, Play, Meet! Gupo Ferry,” the festival will be held for three days from October 16 to 18. Through a variety of programs—including performances, exhibitions, hands-on activities, and food—it creates a festive atmosphere that everyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy together. The festival features a variety of activities, including a recreated ferry landing area where visitors can experience the old-time atmosphere of Gupo Ferry, as well as Gupo Noodles platters, noodle-making workshops, ecological activities, wellness programs, and the Nakdong River Fair. Additionally, programs featuring direct resident participation—such as the Gupo Naru Song Contest and “Our Neighborhood” Open Busking—will enhance the joy of creating the festival together for both visitors and local residents. After sunset, nighttime attractions such as the Gupo Naru Night Walk and the Garden of Lights, along with the Starry Sea Busan Night Market, will allow visitors to enjoy the beautiful autumn nights along the Nakdong River.
