Wanju Wild & Local Food Festival

The “Wanju Wild & Local Food Festival,” Wanju County’s flagship festival, is an event for people of all ages to enjoy unique, “WILD” experiences—unlike anything found in everyday life—amidst Wanju’s pristine nature, as well as healthy local(LOCAL) food—all within Wanju’s pristine natural surroundings. The 2026 festival, themed “Raging Wild,” will feature signature programs such as fiery hearth grilling, local bushcraft, potato samgut, and large-scale fire-themed events. Other highlights include water activities on the Sirang Stream, a straw-hut slide, and other “Wild Playgrounds” that embrace nature, a “Local Table” featuring dishes prepared with care by chefs from women’s associations across 13 towns and villages, a direct-sales market for agricultural specialties, and the “Wild Wapu” EDM music party. Here, visitors can experience the charm of autumn alongside memories, nostalgia, escapism, and healing all at once.
