The Good Brothers Festival

The “Kind-Hearted Brothers” Festival is a family-friendly cultural festival that offers a modern reinterpretation of the values of brotherly love, sharing, and compassion, based on the folk tale of the “Kind-Hearted Brothers” passed down in Daeheung-myeon, Yesan County, South Chungcheong Province. The festival features hands-on programs based on storytelling from the “Kind-Hearted Brothers” folktale, as well as traditional games, family-friendly events, cultural performances, and a market showcasing local cuisine and agricultural specialties. It is designed to allow people of all ages to experience the region’s history and culture and gain a deeper understanding of community values through these activities. Located near the festival venue are Yeodang Lake’s suspension bridge and monorail—two of Yesan County’s premier tourist attractions. As such, it stands as the county’s flagship cultural and tourism festival, offering visitors the opportunity to experience both local culture and tourism.
