2026 Year of Visiting the Islands

The “2026 Year of Visiting Islands” will shed new light on the ecological and cultural assets of South Korea’s islands and mark the beginning of South Korea’s transformation into a world-class island tourism powerhouse. In particular, 2026 will offer an even richer array of sights and activities in conjunction with the “2026 Yeosu World Island Expo,” the world’s first expo dedicated to islands.
